DAY FIVE:    

Ephesians 3:14-19

“For this reason I kneel before the Father,  from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

God has a one-track mind as far as His children are concerned. He wants us to live like the over-comers we are. He longs to see His church (that’s you and me, His people) come together as His holy people, building bonds that show the world how “wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ…” 

DAY FOUR:    

Isaiah 40:30-31: 

“Even the youth grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

God does not love us less when He gives us fewer evidences. He is simply showing us His perfect desire to grow us up in Himself and teach us to walk and run by faith.

DAY THREE:    

2 Samuel 22:31-33: 

“As for God, His way is perfect: 

The Lord’s word is flawless; 

He shields all who take refuge in Him. 

For who is God besides the Lord? 

And who is the Rock except our God? 

It is God who arms me with strength 

and keeps my way secure.”

It is in our weakness that we are made strong because of HIM. 

It is only as we humbly bow to the Lordship of Jesus Christ the He will deliver us and give us strength for each day.

DAY TWO:

Psalm 32:6-7 — “Therefore let all the faithful pray to You while You may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. You are my hiding place; You will protect me in trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”

What a great reminder of His power and His desire to connect  with us through prayer and praise.

Join me for 28 days of simple and short, but powerful moments in the Word of God. I know it's powerful, not because it's my blog, but because it is from the Word of God. There is nothing more life-altering and powerful than His Word. Even if it's just one or two verses at a time.

DAY ONE:

Thanks for joining me on this 28 day Journey in the Word. Here is your short, simple reminder to read the Word of God today.

Proverbs 17:24 — “A discerning person keeps wisdom in view, but a fool’s eyes wander to the ends of the earth.”

My Prayer:

Father, help me to be receptive to Your wisdom. Thank You for your promise that it is available to any of us who truly seek You. Help me not to foolishly let my heart’s eyes wander, looking to the wrong things or influenced by deception. I so want to bring honor and glory to You, O Lord. 

I praise You, Lord!       - Amen
